Medical Imaging was founded in 1973 by Dr. Robert G. Ricci. Through his thoughtful leadership, the organization has grown over the years into Kansas City's leading radiological group. Medical Imaging also provides radiological services to Truman Medical Center Lakewood (Lee's Summit,
MO), and Truman Medical Center Hospital Hill (Kansas City, MO).

In addition to it’s institutional radiology business, Medical Imaging has Kansas City’s most modern and up to date radiological facilities. Click here for locations. At all our facilities you can find the full range of radiological services including open-sided and high-field MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, mammography, bone densitometry (DEXA) for osteoporosis screening, and general x-ray. Medical Imaging, Inc. was the first to bring open-sided MRI and Mammotomes to Kansas City's Northland area. Dr. Lee Steinberg is the current President of Medical Imaging. Mr. Michael Gordon serves as the group's Chief Operating Officer.

Medical Imaging's free standing facility is Mammography Quality Standards Act (MSQA) accredited and is also accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) for mammography.
